Wine is the excuse. Community
is the point. 

… started long before I knew it would. 

I've lived a few different lives. One of them took me around the world as a fashion model being in beautiful rooms and experiencing incredible food, wine, art and music most people only read about. And here's the part nobody says out loud: I was often the most intimidated person in the room.

I knew I liked wine but had no clue how to order some.

Art is cool but I wasn't sure I was allowed to have an opinion on it.

The food? That was complicated too. Unspoken fine dining rules, plus the fashion industry’s judgment about whether you should be eating in the first place.

It all felt very stuffy and unwelcoming.

These creative spaces that are supposed to be the most alive are so often the most guarded, run by people who can make you feel like you don't belong. Be it fine wines, food, and art in general, I’ve been in the rooms built to keep you out.
